Q. What are the products you offer?

A. All items available in the store are high quality, high resolution digital Images. That can be used for everything from Digital Scrapbooking to creating tags and avatars for web forums to web page design to using them for your own form of art.  The possibilities are truly endless.

There are no physical items on the site that will be shipped to your home address, unless you request your purchase to be burned to a CD or DVD. The images contained on this site are for your personal use, unless you purchase a commercial use  membership for use in your business.

Q. Why do you offer items in a store if you have an entire membership area where everything is available?

A. This membership area is great for people who simply want to have digital scrapbook items to use for their personal home hobby. I have had a lot of requests to use my items for commercial purposes and while I do offer a blanket commercial-use license for everything, not everyone can spend that kind of money all at once, so I decided to offer my items individually in a store setting.  You can visit the store here.

Q. If I purchase a membership to the site, can I use those items in my small home business?

A. Only if you purchase the commercial  membership package. I offer a very low fee for the basic memberships to subscribe to my membership area for people who only want to scrap their own personal pages and projects. If you wish to use items to make money in your own business, please consider purchasing items from this store or purchasing the Gold package.

Q. What are the restrictions of using your items?

A.  With the basic memberships, you may use the items only for your personal hobby or making pages for friends and family as gifts.  With the commercial membership, you may use the items to create items that you can sell.

Q. If I buy the commercial package, can I sell stuff I make with your items on ebay or other auction sites?

A. Yes. There are no restrictions on where you sell your designs.

Q. Do you have a reseller program?

A. Not at this time but I am looking into a possible affiliate program, so stay tuned.

Q.  I want to buy a membership but I don’t have a Paypal account and I don’t want to use my credit card.  What can I do?

A.  You can contact me and I’m sure we can work something out.

Q. Can I use items in the store to create websites or templates for auctions, blogs, games or storefronts?

A. With the commercial package, yes. With the personal use licenses, only for your personal, non-commercial blogs.

Q. What is scrap for hire?

A. A lot of people don’t have time to scrapbook or learn how to use their computer for scrapping. You can commission yourself to create photobooks or completed scrapbooks or even single pages for people. All the kits in the store area or this site with a Gold membership can be used to design scrapbook pages, photos, collages or other types of prints for other people. You can use these items for card making, candy wrappers, photo collage prints, t-shirts, bumper stickers…the only limit is your imagination. There is a special terms of use that will come with each kit you buy and there are no limits on how many times you can use an item or for how long the license applies.

Troubleshooting and technical FAQ

Q.  How do I get the images?

A.  You will need an un-zip utility such as WinZip or Winrar to extract the files onto your hard drive.   From there, you can open them and play with them in your favorite Graphics and Photo software.

Q.  I signed up but I didn’t receive my password.

A. It can take the system a few minutes to spit out a password to you, so give it about 5-10 minutes.  If you still haven’t received it, check your spam filter.  If, after 10-15 minutes, you still haven’t received anything, contact me using the contact form and I will get you all squared away.  If you are paying for a subscription by e-check, it can take up to 10 days before the funds clear and your membership to activate.

Q.  Okay, I got my password but it won’t let me log in.

A.  Request a new password and if that still doesn’t work, contact me and I’ll get you all fixed up.  Technology is great—when it works right.

Q.  I forgot my password and was locked out of the site!

A.  There is an automatic 60 minute lockout after the fourth failed login attempt.  The best thing to do if you can’t remember your password is to click the ‘forgot password’ link under the login box to reset it.  This is a security measure to keep out bots that mass-bomb the site with trying to guess the admin password, which happens all too often.

Q.  I downloaded a zip file but it’s giving me an error and won’t open.  It says it’s corrupted.

A.  Leave a comment under the  item that’s not working and I’ll reupload it.  It probably got corrupted in the initial upload but I don’t always realize this unless it’s reported to me.

Q.  I wanted to download something I saw but when I did, it was something else.

A.  A lot of times, instead of reinventing the wheel, I’ll copy an existing post and paste it into a new one and just change the images and zip files.   Sometimes I forget to change the zip file, so you’ll download something other than what the post is about.    Oops!  Either contact me or leave a comment under the item in question and I’ll fix it a.s.a.p.

Q.  I got enough and now I want to cancel my membership.  How do I do this?

A.  Memberships don’t renew automatically, so you’ll never be charged anything more.  You can either just let your subscription expire automatically, or you can cancel it through your profile page here or in your Paypal account.
